The Company

Sandbar Pictures is an independent production and financing company formed by Producers Greg Little (MAYOR OF THE SUNSET STRIP) and Lizzie Friedman (A VIEW FROM THE TOP) in 2005. Our goal is to empower filmmakers to produce high quality commercial films with budgets between $5 to $40 million dollars and bring them to audiences via major, mini- major, and independent studio distribution companies.

The company launched with Daniel Waters’ dark comedy SEX AND DEATH 101 starring Simon Baker and Winona Ryder and is currently in post on the thriller AND SOON THE DARKNESS for Studio Canal and Abandon Pictures. Sandbar is also in post on two documentaries WHIZ KIDS, which is being released by Shadow Distribution and ONE LUCKY ELEPHANT by award winning filmmaker Lisa Leeman. Up next will be the television movie SILENT WITNESS for TNT starring Durmot Mulroney, Anne Heche, Michael Cudlitz and Judd Hirsch.

Among a diverse slate of projects in development, Sandbar is developing the romantic comedy LE SAUVAGE for Studio Canal, IDENTITY THEFT for Twentieth Century Fox, and an adaption of David Brinn’s renowned sci-fi novella DETRITUS EFFECTED. On the television side the company is developing The TV series TART NOIR with Mike Tollin/Fremantle Media, LEFT TO DIE for Lifetime and the limited series CITIES with Martin Scorsese.
